Amazon Prime Benefits – Free Delivery, Amazon Fresh, Prime TV, Reading and more!
What would we do without Amazon? If 2020 proved anything to me, it was that Prime was worth every penny. During the time that we were housebound in lockdown when most shops other than supermarkets were closed, online shopping became more of a necessity than ever.
I mean really, how many people do you know who regularly use Amazon – everybody loves it! Free next day delivery for Prime members and Prime TV is enough to sign up to the subscription right? Well, yes that’s true BUT if you are a Prime member, you get access to a whole lot more and many people just don’t make the most of their membership. Don’t have Prime? Sign up here*.
Now in 2022, I thought I’d do a round up of the main Amazon Prime benefits including some that you may not know about. See below for a list of Prime benefits that you can start using NOW!
Amazon Fresh- Same Day Grocery Delivery
I’ve written a review of this service on a separate post but in case you didn’t know, you can get your grocery shop from Amazon with same day delivery! It’s free if you spend over £40 and so quick and easy to do your shopping. Read the post here for the full scoop.
Prime Music
Download the app to your phone and you will have free songs, playlists and podcasts to listen to whenever you want. You can also listen offline and through Alexa. They also offer music unlimited so make sure you click ‘Amazon Music Prime’ without paying the extra – find out more here.
Prime Reading
You can get free ebooks and magazines through your Kindle or by using the Kindle App (available for IPhone, Android, MAC, PCs etc). I’ve read loads of books through this service and the best thing is, if you aren’t feeling that particular book, another novel is waiting at your finger tips and you haven’t wasted any money by not reading the other! Magazines include Woman&Home, BBC Wildlife Magazine, Pick Me Up and more. Check out what’s available here.
Shared Membership with Amazon Household
Did you know that you can share your Amazon account with someone else who lives at the same address? If you are paying for two accounts this will save you a fortune! Simply follow the instructions on this post to share some of the Prime benefits (but be mindful that not all perks can be used by the added members of the household).
Amazon Photos
Cannot believe I have only just found this out from researching for this post – Amazon have a free photo storage app for Prime members. Unlimited storage for photos….yes, you read that correctly, UNLIMITED STORAGE FOR FREE! This couldn’t have come in to my life at a better time as I’m dangerously close to maxing out my Google Photos account so I’m going to make the switch ASAP so nothing get’s lost. The perk also includes 5GB of video storage. Tell your friends as even non-Prime members also get 5GB of photo only storage for free. Get it here now! I need to calm down…
Gift Buying
If you need to buy someone a gift but have no way of getting it to them in person, then Amazon have you covered. On the subtotal screen before checkout, make sure you check the box that says, “This order contains a gift” and add your recipients address as the delivery address. Depending on the item, you may be able to add a note that will be delivered in the package. Easy and very useful if you are unwell, on holiday, busy or just crap at managing your time.
Free Delivery
We all know about this one, it’s the main selling point of Amazon but on top of free unlimited one and two day delivery, did you know you could get your items sent to an Amazon locker? This could be useful if you aren’t going to be home as you can pick up your parcel at your convenience. Check out your local lockers and pick-up locations here.
Prime Video
You can get free television series and movies streamed right through your telly as part of your Prime membership. Some of the content is exclusive to Prime meaning that you can’t watch it anywhere else. Some of our favourites include Clarkson’s farm (series), Palm Springs (movie) and My Spy (movie).
Hope you enjoyed this list of Amazon Prime Benefits and that it helps you to get the most out of your membership.
