One year old baby update: eating, drinking, crawling and sleep!
Our baby daughter Holly is one and I can’t believe how much of a journey we’ve been on in only a year. In some ways it feels like it was only a few months ago that I wrote the ‘Look what we made’ blog post when Holly was first born – one of my first ever write ups – but then in other ways, it feels a lot longer. Read on for my one year baby update and like with a lot of my posts, I’ve split this one up in to different parts so you can skip to the bits that interest you. I’ve chosen to write about Eating…

Baby Sleep Routine at Seven Months Old
Holly is now seven months old and her sleep routine and night feeding pattern has changed so much from when she was a newborn – praise the Lord! Night-times are a lot more structured now and I thought it would be a good time to do a round up of how her habits have changed across the months. If you have a younger baby and want an idea of what to expect then by all means, read on but remember this very annoying and infuriating fact – babies are all different and tend to do things at different rates. Some babies sleep through the night from the get go (don’t…

Our first holiday with a baby to Haggeston Castle
Hola Senors and Seronritas! No I have not been to Spain as my introduction might indicate, but instead have travelled far and wide all the way to sunny Haggeston Castle in Northumberland. I hadn’t been to Haggeston Castle before but we picked it as it’s a relatively short drive for us (an hour and a half) and we didn’t want to go too far as car journeys with young babies aren’t that fun. It’s fine if they go to sleep but juggling bottle feeds and trying to soothe a crying baby in their car seat is a bit of a chew on. Anyway, me and Andy thought Haggeston Castle would…

Four month postpartum and baby update!
Hello and welcome back to my blog! It’s been a while since I’ve updated you on Holly and me after the birth and now she’s four months old I thought I’d better get cracking. Life is really busy and hectic at the minute but it’s also feeling more normal as each day goes by. I’m still figuring out how to keep all of the plates spinning and keep life going in a way that it’s not all nappies and bottle feeds but I’m getting there. Let’s start this off with an update on the little lady herself. Holly Holly is now four months old and is cuter than ever –…

Look what we made! Birth and New Baby Post
Little disclaimer – this will be full of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes due to my tired messed up brain but I’m leaving it that way as my this is my reality for the moment. It’s been two weeks since I gave birth to our daughter Holly and it’s flown by in a beautiful blur of tears, cuddles, bottles and nappies. The little lady is still finding her feet with when she wants to feed, how much she drinks and how much she sicks up but it’s all going okay. It already feels like so long ago that I was lying on that hospital bed but it’s still fresh enough…
