March Favourites!

Another month has passed us by and I really don’t know where the time has gone! If you didn’t know, I had a baby three weeks ago and I feel like I’ve been in a timewarp ever since not knowing what day it is. Much like my February favourite’s post, here is a round up of the things I’ve been loving this month.

Podcast – ‘Shagged Married Annoyed’ by Chris and Rosie Ramsey. I haven’t really had a lot of time to listen to podcasts this month if I’m honest but during the beginning of the month and pretty much all of last year, I’ve let the sound of these two comedy geniuses fill my ears and lift my spirits. The podcast is basically Chris and his wife Rosie sitting in their kitchen and reading out the most hilarious and disgusting stories lovingly sent in by their listeners. My favourite feature of theirs is ‘What’s your beef’ which consists of the two having a massive go at each other for our enjoyment – Castbox Podcast App

Film – ‘Instant Family‘ starring Mark Walberg and Rose Byrne. The storyline sounds really basic but I promise you it’s worth a watch – it’s actually really funny but very heartwarming too. It’s about a couple who have left it late in life to have kids and decide to adopt a child but after attending an adoption day, they end up taking on three siblings. The couple flip-flop between being overly eager to please their new family and regretting their decision to ever get involved in the process. It’s really funny but also refreshingly real and honest – even in our ultra modern, accepting society, adoption is still a bit of a taboo subject so well done to the makers of this film, it’s a little gem – Netflix

TV Show – It’s an oldie but a goodie – ‘Catchphrase’. As our brain’s have turned to mush from sleep deprivation, this is such an easy watch after teatime and has become one of mine and Andy’s favourites. Plus, not to brag but I’m canny good at guessing them 🙂 – ITV

ProductVitaskin Vitamin C Lifting Eye cream. I am looking SO knackered and crumpled at the minute but this eye cream is helping to paper over the cracks. I got mine in the Holland and Barrett Advent Calendar at Christmas but it is for sale on their main website. It’s a really nice refreshing eye cream that doesn’t irritate your eyes- Holland and Barrett

TreatStrawberry Body Yoghurt from the Body Shop. This is lovely, light and refreshing and perfect for this time of year as the weather is getting warmer. It’s a strange consistency – it’s a bit like a gel but it absorbs into the skin very quickly and leaves a lovely scent that’s not too overpowering – Body Shop

FoodTakeaway Fish and Chips. Some days you just need something greasy and filling to comfort you and fish and chips is a perfect solution. Lovely soggy chips and tasty fish with mushy peas will always be a winner in my eyes.

That’s all for March, look out for my next batch of favourites in April!
